March Madness Ends with Military Friendly® School Win

March Madness is over once again with the University of North Carolina capturing its sixth national championship with its 71-65 victory over Gonzaga. Not only did UNC win the national championship; the school also won our 2017 Military Friendly® Schools Bronze Award. Turns out they have an impressive basketball program and a best-in-class military program for veterans and military spouses.

UNC is an excellent choice for both active duty military service members and veterans. The school is approved to accept military tuition assistance, Veterans Affairs education benefits, and offer Yellow Ribbon scholarships for students classified as out-of-state for tuition purposes.

It’s also worth mentioning that another Military Friendly® School, The University of South Carolina, won the NCAA women’s basketball title. USC also won the Bronze award for providing programs and support to our nation’s heroes and their families.

Take a look at UNC’s profile to see what sets them apart.

Congratulations to the Tar Heels!
