Mike Stevens, former Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy (MCPON), is Victory Media’s Chief Operating Officer. Mike is charged with scaling company operations as it grows its mission to create civilian success for our nation’s military community.
Prior to joining Victory Media, Mike served for 33 years in the US Navy, and became the 13th MCPON on September 28, 2012. As the most senior enlisted person in the Navy, Mike acted as an advisor to the Chief of Naval Operations and to the Chief of Naval Personnel in matters concerning more than 400,000 sailors and their families. He conceived, developed and led several successful initiatives for the United States Navy, including the Chief Petty Officer 365 Leadership Training Program, a year-long professional leadership initiative that the Navy is implementing as the primary training method for the total force; the restructuring of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy to modernize the curriculum and increase the student population from 350 to 1,600 participants each year; and the creation of a comprehensive program to provide worldwide mobile capability to all Sailors by 2025.
Mike Stevens’ academic achievements include a Bachelor of Science from Excelsior College; completion of Harvard John F. Kennedy School of Government’s “Leadership in Crisis” program; Senior Enlisted Professional Military Education; Senior Enlisted Joint Professional Military Education; and successful completion of the National Defense University Keystone course. He is an honor graduate and the recipient of the prestigious Peter Tomich Award for exceptional military excellence from the Senior Enlisted Academy. Mike’s personal military awards include the Distinguished Service Medal, Legion of Merit, Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), the Coast Guard Achievement Medal with operational “O”, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist Insignia, and Enlisted Naval Aircrew Wings.
Mike currently serves on the National Museum of the American Sailor Foundation Board of Directors and as an advisory board member of the Global War on Terror Memorial Foundation. He lives in the Pittsburgh area with his wife Theresa and works out of the company’s headquarters.

Guilty pleasure: I love cheese!
Craziest hobbies: As a teenager I used to snow ski behind a snowmobile at HIGH speeds. I’m not sure how I survived.
Favorite movies: True Grit, The Shooter and The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly.
Favorite celebrities: Split between John Wayne and Clint Eastwood.
Believe it or not: I’m ambidextrous.
Greatest personal accomplishment: Meeting my wife Theresa and serving more than 400,000 Sailors of the U.S. Navy as the Master Chief Petty Officer of The Navy.
Oddest job: Driving an armored truck.
On the bookshelf: I’m an everyday reader. I’m always turning the pages of scripture, and have numerous other books on the shelves – I love to read! John C. Maxwell is my favorite author.
Mac or PC: Mac; had a bad experience with a Microsoft Pro.
Pop or soda: Soda. I don’t know why.
Favorite sports team: Chicago Bears fan since 1974 … but for our personal safety, Theresa and I have become Steelers fans. (When in Rome…)
