Military Friendly Governance: Companies
What does it mean to be a Military Friendly® Company?
It may mean different things to different people, but to us it means total commitment—total commitment to tapping into military talent, whether as employees, students, suppliers, consumers or like-minded people with like-minded missions. And, having the right people, programs and policies in place to make it happen.
We are pleased to introduce the Military Friendly® Company designation for organizations that have met or exceeded our standard in at least three out of four critical areas of commitment to the military community:
Here are a few important facts to know about the Military Friendly® Companies ratings criteria:
- A Military Friendly® designation is calculated for each of the individual survey components.
- Any company earning three or more individual Military Friendly® designations is considered a Military Friendly® Company.
- Once all Military Friendly® Company designations are calculated, the companies are ranked by total score received throughout all four survey components.
Military Friendly Governance: Schools
The list of Military Friendly® Schools and Military Friendly® Schools ratings are assessed through the evaluation of both public data about the institution and proprietary data gathered through our free Military Friendly® Schools survey. The annual, data-driven Military Friendly® Schools survey assessment is offered at no cost to more than 8,800 institutions nationwide. Each year, schools taking the survey are held to a higher standard than in previous years via improved methodology, criteria and weightings developed with the assistance of an independent research firm and our Advisory Council.
Survey responses are weighted according to the categories below. Final survey results and ratings are determined by combining an institution’s survey scores with the assessment of the institution’s ability to meet minimum thresholds for Student Retention, Graduation, Job Placement, Loan Repayment and Loan Default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans. The benchmark is set by the score of the leading institution.
